The day started as any other day, except husband was still home. He took the day off to spend it with me. We went and got a new battery for my Fossil Watch that he had given me years ago. The battery had been dead for more than a year….maybe 2. :/ Then we headed to Chick-Fil-A so that Parker could play. A Chick-Fil-A trip wouldn’t be complete with out turning in their toys from their kids meals for an ice cream cone.
Then we headed to Target. I was in serious need to walk around after finishing Parker’s Ice Cream Cone. We stopped at our favorite spot….The Dollar Section. Absolutely every mom’s favorite spot I think. You let your kids pick out 1 toy for a buck. Tell them as long as they are good the whole time, you will buy it. If not you will put it back. And you’ve only spent a dollar! Yep — It really is the best place in target (next to starbucks…I’m totally in love with their Vanilla Bean Frappachinos—totally coffee free and absolutely amazing!!) The Kids had fun trying on these bunny ears — but both were broken…Sad day.
Then we headed over to Rao’s Bakery to try out a cupcake. I have only been there once so Adam said we should go try it out. My cupcake was dried out and not very good. I was pretty disappointed – especially when it was 3+ bucks. I told Adam that Duncan Hines made way better cupcakes and frosting.

We were about to head to Beaumont to get in a little shopping before dinner and I remembered I had signed up to feed both sets of the missionaries in our ward!!! Luckily We had already told them that we were just bringing them food because when I signed up on Sunday I totally forgot it was my birthday on Monday and that I already had dinner plans. (Double OOPS!) So we ordered them pizza, stopped at the grocery store and picked them up water, root beer (root beer and pizza just go together), and cookies and dropped the food off to them. We sat with them a few minutes while they ate and they shared a spiritual thought with us. If you want to learn more about our religion and the missionaries, Head over to Mormon.org.
When we left there, we headed to Olive Garden. There were 17 or 18 of us. My Aunt, My Cousin, Her Husband, Her Daughter, Parker, My Mom, My Grandma, My Grandpa, My Brother-in-law, My SIster, Riglee, A Good Friend of Ours, Adam, Me, My Brother, My Sister-in-law, My nephew, and My niece. I had to go around the table to make sure I didn’t leave anyone out! I was handed a gift card to Starbucks from my Brother and Sister-in-Law and a gift to unwrap from my grandparents, aunt, and cousin’s family. It was a cute box with tons of cards — thank you cards, birthday cards, new baby cards, etc. They also got me a cookie cake.
Had I known my cousin didn’t like cookie cakes (I mean I should have — she is my cousin), I wouldn’t have told her that’s what I wanted her to order me. My mom got me a cupcake stand

It was a fantastic day and I’m grateful for everything my family did yesterday to make it fun and special and for all the Facebook posts and texts!
