Super Saturday

I went to a Super Saturday this past weekend to teach them how to make Seasonal Word Blocks (I got the idea from brown paper packages).

How do you like that the only picture I can find of my blocks right now is this one from Saturday on the ledge of the chalkboard in the primary room.  The cupcakes add a nice touch, don’t you think? :)

I love that you can spell out 14 different words with these and so they can stay out year round!

I added an 8th block. The four different sides are
1. You Are
2. I am
3. I Heart (a red heart)
4. Pumpkin

I was in a room with Tanya teaching these Photo Blocks.  I didn’t sign up to do any of the activities and she didn’t either because we both knew we would be teaching ours the whole time.  At the end of the day we had extra kits and swapped!

I added the mini clothespins to mine to make it easier to swap out the pictures.  I absolutely love how it turned out.

She also gave me a kit for the Prayer blocks.

I couldn’t remember how she had hers, so I just kind of made it up.  It’s a little hard to read the bottom block.  The quote says “Prayer – When life gets to hard to stand … kneel”

Thanks Tanya for sharing with me!

  1. yours turned out so cute….love how you did it, the only thing I did different was put the ribbon around the little blocks and thanks so much for swapping with me, I can’t wait to put mine together.
